Little Whale Cay
Little Whale Cay is a stunning private island situated in the Berry Islands Bahamas, available for hire throughout the year.

Little Whale Cay was developed in the 1940s by Wallace Groves, a Canadian Industrialist as his own private island paradise. It is now owned by a British couple – Peter and Erica Austin.

The island is an easy flight on British Airways from Heathrow to Nassau, where one of the island staff will meet you before your transfer to the private terminal at Nassau for the 15 minute flight direct to the island.  Flights leave at 10.30 every day of the week.

The ease of access makes this island a perfect escape.  Once you’re there, you have 93 acres of beautiful tropical gardens all to yourself and your friends, with peacocks, flamingoes, 34 different species of birds and three tortoises called Tom, Dick and Harry to keep you amused.

The island sleeps twelve people. Accommodation is in three charming villas, Little Whale House, Flamingo House and Peacock House. All bedrooms have ensuite facilities. Each house has WiFi and a flat screen television. Everything is included in the cost of the rental, from champagne and delicious fresh food, flown in from organic farms in Florida, to international telephone calls and boat fuel.

Days can be spent on one of the island boats exploring, snorkeling, bone or deep sea fishing; simply lazing in a hammock reading a book from the extensive library or sunbathing beside the fresh water swimming pool listening to your favourite sounds from one of the many iPod docking stations.

Guests do exactly as they please.  Menus are arranged in advance; masseurs, tennis pros, scuba diving instructors can all be flown in upon request and for an additional fee.
