June in The Bahamas can best be described as hot and humid with the occasional liquid sunshine. It is also the beginning of the hurricane season which officially ends in October early November. This is not to say that there will be a tropical storm, which is unlikely, as it is so early in the season. If you are planning on travelling to The Bahamas during this month, you can expect temeperatures as high as 87.0°F (31°C) and lows of 76°F (24°C).
Things to do: The Long Island Sailing Regatta, a competition with 40-50 sloops each representing a different island in The Bahamas; and don’t miss the Pineapple Festival in Gregory Town Eleuthera, which honours the hard working men and women in the pineapple industry. This is celebrated with various hosted activities and events on the island including a 40 mile bicycle race and pineapple eating contest.
