New Boutique Hotel Breaks Ground in Nassau Near Lyford Cay

As reported by the Caribbean Journal:-

A new boutique hotel has officially broken ground on the western end of the island of New Providence in the Bahamas, the government announced.

Nassau’s newest hotel project, Mahogany Hill, is the brainchild of the owners of the Mahogany House restaurant on West Bay Street, just outside of Lyford Cay.

Bahamas Prime Minister Perry Christie was on hand last week for the official ground breaking on the $23 million project.

“This fine hotel will not only add to our tourism product, it is strategically located in a prime residential and business area and in close proximity to the airport where it will serve residents and business and leisure travellers,” Christie said.

Businessman Mark Holowesko, who owns Mahogany House, is leading the project with his daughter, Lauren.
