The World Travel Awards, is the travel industry’s most celebrated awards programme, acknowledging and rewarding excellence across all sectors of the global travel and tourism industry. With a series of regional gala ceremonies planned, the 25th Annual World Travel Awards, Caribbean and North America Gala Ceremony, will be held in Jamaica on the 22nd September 2018.
The Islands of The Bahamas are a contender for nine awards, namely Caribbean’s Leading Beach Destination; Caribbean’s Leading Cruise Destination; Caribbean’s Leading Cruise Port 2018; Caribbean’s Leading Destination; Caribbean’s Leading Dive Destination; Caribbean’s Leading Honeymoon Destination; Caribbean’s Leading Luxury Island Destination 2018; Caribbean’s Leading Tourist Board 2018 and Caribbean’s Most Romantic Destination.
Voting is open to the public at http://www.worldtravelawards.com. Votes are cast by both travel professionals and consumers ensuring that only the most deserving organisations walk away with one of these prestigious awards. The deadline for voting for The Bahamas is 12 August. Among the geographic regions in contention are: Africa, Asia, Australia, Caribbean, Central America, Indian Ocean, North America and South America.
