The Islands of The Bahamas will once again be in attendance at World Travel Market (WTM) 2018, the leading global event for the travel industry; to be held at The Excel Exhibition Centre London 5-7 November 2018. It is expected that almost 5,000 exhibiting companies will take part at WTM London, to showcase their destinations, products and services.
The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism will be represented by The Minister of Tourism and Aviation, the Honorable Dionisio D’Aguila, the Director General of Tourism, Mrs. Joy Jibrilu, the Deputy Director General, Mr. Ellision ‘Tommy’ Thompson, The Director of Tourism, UK and Europe, Mr Anthony Stuart. Among the business partners in attendance are: The Nassau Paradise Island Promotion Board, Atlantis Paradise Island, Comfort Suites, The One & Only Ocean Club and The Grand Lucayan Resort, amongst others.
Many of the hotels in The Bahamas have experienced a growth in visitor numbers over the past year, amongst those being the Atlantis Paradise Island and Comfort Suites. It is hoped that this 3-day event, will build on existing relationships with business partners and create new ones.
Due to the ongoing efforts of The Bahamas Tourist Office London, The Bahamas has seen an 11 percent increase in visitor arrivals from the UK and increased arrivals from other European countries.
The main goals of BMOT at this year’s event, is to develop new airlift opportunities from the UK and Europe to The Bahamas, target niche’ market areas and to enhance on visitor experience to The Islands of The Bahamas.
